Walnut Wash Winery is located at the north end of Napa Valley in the Calistoga AVA, encompassing 19.73 total acres—12.92 of which are planted to six estate varietals: Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Verdelho, Petite Sirah, Tempranillo, and Cabernet Franc . Nestled on the valley floor beneath the Mayacamas range and gazing up at the slopes of Mount St Helena, our estate combines volcanic soils, cool mountain breezes, and boutique‐scale viticulture for truly exceptional wines.
We cultivate six estate varietals—Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Verdelho, Petite Sirah, Tempranillo, and Cabernet Franc—each planted on well-drained volcanic soils at densities of 1,000 to 1,100 vines per acre. Our rolling valley-floor blocks enjoy brisk morning breezes and bright afternoon sun, promoting even ripening and concentrated flavors. From the crisp acidity of Sauvignon Blanc to the bold structure of Cabernet Sauvignon and the spicy richness of Petite Sirah, each varietal expresses the unique terroir of our Calistoga estate.
